Digital Privacy is a Human Right. XQ brings together software developers and security experts from Silicon Valley and Washington DC. What makes XQ special is our unique mix of software development and national security expertise. Our team includes inventors, graphic designers, coding types, security nerds as well as people who have worked for US Presidents (a really serious job).

Early on, the XQ team realized that data exfiltration attacks were increasing as a result of enterprises outsourcing key functions and moving to the cloud. The key insight is that the greater the data distribution, the higher the probability of exfiltration. Subsequently, the XQ team believed that data exfiltration would only increase in the emerging cloud world. So, the XQ team designed a distributed data protection solution from a clean sheet of paper (we still have the original paper). XQ’s concept is to implement encryption, classifications, authorization and policy enforcement at the edge and integrate tracking to detect data exfiltration attempts (something called a Zero Trust security model).
